Spokane fires

The good part of Washington - you can get by with a jacket 9 months of the year. The bad part - you need a jacket 9 months of the year. Lots of prayers your way, Mike. Thankfully, you're still safe and sound.

At this time we are in no danger. Caught the guy that started it. He confessed starting 25 fires in last 1.5 years.
Everyone is still evacuated. 0% contained. 90 + low humidity and wind starts again today for 2 days. Time for folks to hunker down and fasten seat belt. And Pray.
My mill guy is on edge of level 2 evac. Hope they can keep contained in wind.

The guy that started it should be executed by fire for starting that many fires. Any idea if anyone was killed by the fires he started?……… Nubs

Should bring back stoning.
So far, no deaths. The fire was out of control but procedures worked. Moving 60,000+ people out of the way in a couple hours is not easy. Main roads got overwhelmed but they directed people on to side roads. Helluva an effort for police and firefighters. Before evening they at a hotshot team on the way. It is one thing to fight wildfire in the woods. Bring heavy equipment in and start tearing things up. It is a different ball game in residential area. The river there is about 300-400 feet below bluff. All the drp is dry grass and brush. Steep. No way to fight there. So fire went up super fast and horizontal fast. When it breached top, probably in 5 minutes or less, it was a mile wide. Houses and dry stuff to next bluff.
Sorta my old stomping grounds. Someone knew what to do. This could have been large loss of life.
Still calm winds and higher humidity. Hoping it stays that way.

So far no one killed. Amazing.
I think it is time for stocks and stoning to come back in popularity. But then again, I am rude crude and socially unacceptable. But I bet you could get people lined up for 20 bucks a stone...
