Plane body is great, iron had a bunch of burrs both on the slots driven by the adjustment slide and the edge, and the adjustment screw was bent enough to require repair before it would rotate when the unit was fully assembled. After chasing the female threads in the adjustment mech, straightening the adj screw, chasing those threads also, and sharpening (and deburring) the tool is an absolute dream. The edge holds pretty well, and the differential screw design of the depth adjuster provides really fine control of the depth of cut. It is really comfortable to use for beveling edges, but I've not tried cutting a rabbet with it or doing any tenon trimming yet. Soon I hope.
