Lords of Woodbarter....

How much trouble do you think it would be to add subcategories under the For Sale tab? I'm thinking you pick the For Sale icon and it opens up a list of other icons....Pen Blanks, Game Call, Flatwork, Knife Scales, Lumber...

I only ask because I'm trying to go through some older posts looking for any pen blanks that might still be for sale but there is a lot to shift through.

Good idea or Heck No?

Also a way to separate the "Walnut for Billy" threads from the regular for sale threads. Maybe a "For Sale - Dibs" section.

I'm just being nitpicky and lazy really....;)

Some good ideas actually. We've tossed them around before but never pulled the trigger. I'l see if I can scare up sme more thoughts on it in the staff section.

Also, people who try to cut their fingers off can be a little lazy if they want.

If you were looking for pen blanks, why not post in "want to Buy" then they come to you... too many categories and sub-categories becomes a lot to sift through too, just my opinion...

I think that if organized well it will ease the burden of looking for something in particular. It will also help sellers get their stuff found better. All of this would be moot if we had a superior search function but alas we do not, so other options should be explored to help organize it a little better.

It's not the best for sure but it isn't terrible. Look at the results for some recent search terms used by members (usernames hidden). There's only 1 goose egg but that's because the search was constrained to the General Trade Discussion forum where pepper mill blanks would not be listed.

See the thing is Barry that there are a lot of unsold items that are still just hanging out there in cyber land. I don't always have anything particular in mind and would just like to window shop to see what's out there.
