Tamarind bowl

5 1/2 X 2 1/2.
Could have been bigger but I wanted to preserve as much of the color and grain as possible. Decided to turn it bark out. Finished with friction polish and carnauba wax.

It actually wasn't bad to turn. A little tear out at first but resharpened and did a finish cut.

Looks like a great call. Massive amounts of character. The other way, likely would have thrown away a third of the color.

Great looking bowls Phil! did you freehand the word "tamarind" on bottom? It looks perfect, my printing always looks like a second grader....

Thanks! No. I used a laser printer. So much nicer and easier.
