Thought about Pier 77. Charlotte Plummers was family's go to in Rockport area - but I had never been there - but the newer reviews weren't all that good. Went to a new place called Nemos. Nothing fancy - endcap on a small strip center. But had very good oysters and shrimp at a good price! Thought about a number of other places, but Dad does not go for fancy - his version of perfection is fried shrimp/fish with fries! I ordered some fried calamari and he thought it was onion rings! We stayed at the Lighthouse and coulda gone to The Palm (at the hotel), but would have been too fancy for Dad!Sorry guys - been busy and not been on the site lately.
Sorry Mike H I have some great suggestions for Rock port. My apologies for not seeing this sooner. Some of the best and most affordable fried shrimp around is at Pier 77 in RP. Next time and I’ll go there soon and tell you how good they were.
Definitely never tried gull before. Never hungry enough yet. However other than being protected I did find this comment “Apparently it tastes awful. Online people use the words gamy, funky-fishy, dirty, “bad game meat sprinkled with rotten fish juice”... Thats enough for me I’ll stick to pigeons - Jim
