One of the more interesting woods to make a bowl from. Have turned this for pens but this was the first bowl I’d turned from it. Very aromatic odor as this is also one of the most oily woods I’ve turned. Sanding wasn’t really needed but I did to even things out. Started at 240 then 320. You really have to wet sand this wood so I used Walnut oil to wet sand it. If you don’t wet sand then it’ll immediately clog up the sanding paper or mesh. Only finish used was Oldies and you can tell which pic that is. Bowl size is 6x2.5” and is 1/8th inch thick. I did turn an inside bead around the opening and gives the illusion of being a little thicker.
