It was hung to form chrysalis yesterday morn and when I checked progress last night it was gone.
Just the silk was left, something got it.
To coons going to the Florida Everglades.

All of a sudden, I saw 6 spotted ground squirrels running around under the bird feeder today. Looked like maybe 3 or 4 young ones and a couple larger ones. So probably this year's litter. Now we need the great horned owl to come back,

17 miles from our house. At least 10 miles from civilization so they won't be a problem fer anyone else till the predators get them.
They were a delicacy in certain societies!

Right up there with armadillos in my opinion.

Accordion turtles that can run fast. Whatever you call them, armadillos are usually a few clowns short of a circus.

There was another doe with her fawn out there as well. Looks like the new crop of landscape destroyers has arrived. Better limber up my sling shot.
