Hi All,

I'm new here, obviously. All my life I've had a weird obsession for wood. While other little girls were in home economics classes (I think I just gave away my age) I was in Wood Shop with the boys making cutting boards etc . . . I LOVE power tools and harvesting Cedar. Now I want to figure out what to do with the dozens of the stripped cedar trunks, branches etc. etc.. that I've amassed over the years.

If you like working with cedar logs, I want to pick your brain!

Looking forward to being here.

Denise

Welcome! You found a great place! Lots of the people here will be able to help you out.

Welcome to the forum. Let's see some pics. If nothing else, we'll take pics of cedar logs. We LOVE pics

Denise - Welcome from New York. :greeting: You will find more to do with that cedar here than you ever imagined, and plenty of good folks to help you along the way. Glad you found us.

Thanks for the welcome! I can do pics . . . testing with just one as an attachment . . . looks like the easiest way would be to just load them on my website and link to them?

Welcome Denise. You have wood disease. :good2: I see a harp back in the corner do you play?

I apologize for the mess our music studio / game room was in when I took that picture! We were painting on the other side of the house so we had gathered everything and dumped it, temporarily, on and around the pool table. ::blush::

I personally do not play, but my Danny does. If I had taken the picture from the other side of the room, you'd see 22+ guitars, drums and other toys belonging to him.

I'm going to take the "wood disease" comment as a compliment. Thanks! ;)

Welcome Denise from a fellow Texan. In the Austin area we love cedar but we love to cut them down. Your work with them looks great.

Thanks Jim! I used to work from Dallas for an organization based in Austin and my oldest currently attends UT@Austin. Love that area!
