Wouldn’t it be funny if a non turner won the monthly turners challenge?

Trust me, that thought entered my mind but Doug did say he’d spin it on the bench.
All for a great cause!!!
What will be funnier is the “turning challenge” @DLJeffs comes up with if he does in fact win![]()
Now that would be fun!I shouldn't win this thing...but if I do what will be funny is all you wood spinners having to incorporate flat wood in your next project.
Very well saidVoting is closed, and so now the fun begins - Congrats @DLJeffs!
You've somehow managed to outdo the turners, in a turning challenge, without turning a thing. Your incredible flat work was all for a great cause, so thank you and the others for getting these Beads Of Courage boxes - round or flat - out to a great organization! I think we're all still pondering how we allowed Doug to win but, then again, this is WoodBarter so the rules are written in pencil, very lightly, and we all have erasers
In the true spirit of giving, we technically have to give Doug the opportunity to come up with the next TURNING challenge, so the floor is yours my friend. We're all looking forward to seeing the spin (pun intended) that you put on this one!
Thank you Steve, and thanks for running the last Turning Challenge. Marv Throneberry in those Miller Lite commercials said: "I still don't know why they asked me to do this commercial." He also said "I'm worried, because if I do for Miller Lite what I did for baseball, they might go out of business." That's kind of how I feel about the Monthly Turning Challenge. I sense an underlying comedic thread in the voting - "Let's vote for the board polisher, it'll be funny as hell."Voting is closed, and so now the fun begins - Congrats @DLJeffs!

Prayers to your momThank you Steve, and thanks for running the last Turning Challenge. But I've been giving this some thought and I've got an idea starting to gel. Give me a day or two to get it all together and I'll post a new challenge. Had to take my mom to the hospital today, her COPD was acting up. Hopefully only a day or two of stronger meds will straighten her right up.
Lots of thoughts and prayers headed your way! That’s actually why I didn’t get a chance to turn a box for the challenge. Been dealing with health issues my Dad is going though, so I’m right there with you. Hang in there and give her a hug!Thank you Steve, and thanks for running the last Turning Challenge.
