I have a piece of Black Walnut 2 " X 2 " X 18 " a piece of Curly Maple 2 " X 6 " X 12" and a piece of Red Cedar 3 " X 3 " X 12 . All are kiln dry for $30 plus shipping.

Make me a good offer for this wood. I am teaching classes in woodturning to the youth , buying some pen kits , etc. Thinking about offering some segmented pen construction classes in my shop for a reqasoinable amount to raise more funds. It would be hands on and probably no more than 2-3 per class . I have all the tools , wood and glue . Any ideas from you guys . I am in Cocoa Beach , Florida .

Here is a picture of some of the blanks that could be made in my classes . I have probably 20-30 others , many which are originals . I would also plan to donate some of the funds to this Forum .
Those look sharp! Might I suggest a Celtic knot . They look much more complicated than they are. Great way to use maple/walnut, maple/cherry or a combo of several other non figured woods to give them a flair. These shown , are a bit touchy for us beginners, unless I miss my guess.

Thanks for your comments Frank. Yes , I would include the Celtic Knot and the Herringbone .
You would be surprised how fast a beginner can build these !!!!!!!
Also , notice I use some solid surface material .
