What free wood did you find today?

Free logs today. Have to get these unloaded and pick up the rest later this week. All cherry here and next load but will have a hackberry on the next load. These here are all 7' except one that is 12'.

Old style antifreeze is ethylene glycol and extremely poisonous. It’s killed many a pet from licking off the ground because it’s sweet.

PEG is also used as an osmotic laxative. Miralax is PEG. It‘s also used as a gastric lavage (Golytely) when prepping for a colonoscopy.

As it was said when Indiana Jones was choosing the chalice, choose wisely.

My grandson was into Minecraft the last time we visited so we watched that movie about a guhzillion times in a week. Chicken jockey!!!!!

I haven't watched the movie but I have heard many opinions on it. Bad and good.
 
Wasnt free, but i did find it. I had to go up to KY to an antique market, but otherwise!!! Never seen a mallet like this, nor one that heavy. Made of a short piece of log section - pith is in center of flat sides. Weighs somewhere around four pounds (with handle) and is 5 1/2” x 6” x 3 5/8”. Dont have a say cale gandy (there are at least 4 around, but wifey puts them away and then forgets where). And only way to get actual volume is to do a water displacement which i probably wont do. But fudging on the measurements because of the rounded corners, but not accounting for the hole nor the handle, it appears in the 75# per cf range. In the real dense range. Aint gonna do anything to the great patina, so it will remain a mystery wood.
