What's in the mail?

Glad it got there in one piece. Your greenback trout image turned out great. Matches the one you have on the wall. We're so color coordinated. Give those flies a go sometime. Like I said, I think the play is to go back to the old traditional standards and show those young reprobates we old guys still can catch a few trout.

I have been listening to some podcasts and have thought the same. Nothing wrong with an Adams or Hares Ear!!!

Iwill say, I have never learned to tie as well as you. Those are pretty flies worthy of just day dreaming in front of.

Two light pull drives arrived today from Axminster in the UK. Good company to deal with on this buy. These were not expected until Thursday. Will come in handy on the German smokers we are working on.

What are these for? Chuck
These are lathe drives for small pieces. We are working on a couple of German smokers and will use these to make small parts like hats, arms and lefts. Great for this kind of stuff as it allows for turning ends of small pieces like the arms. For instance can drill a 6mm hole in the ends and one of thesteps on the tool include a 6mm step for a friction fit/drive.

Thanks! If possible, would you please take a few pics of how you use these. Chuck

Chuck, when I get back to the shop and using this tool, I’ll take a photo. Colwin Way, Woodworking Wisdom, has a two-part presentation on German smokers on YouTube. We are following his directions and he used this tool several times. I enjoyed his presentation (watched it twice) and found this to be an entertaining project.

Lil Mikey's beginning to feel a little constipated over this big display of unrequited love!

I can see katalox because of the burnt umber color on screen. But the camera or something is causing it to be darker brown when it is really a rich brown!
