What's It Called?

I need a tool but don't know the name of it. In a factory I used to work at, the girls in assembly used air powered screw guns to assemble valves. The gun was hanging by a wire from a device that contained a reel and spring. The idea is to take the weight off the tool when doing repetitive work. What's this gizmo called and where can I get one? Almost sounds like a strain relief kellum grip. As far as where to get them, I'm not exactly sure.
