I got an A-. Which is bad, not good. Connecticut has the second strictest gun laws in the nation.

"States lost points for laws that weaken public safety, such as permitting hidden, loaded guns in schools and bars, removing the duty to retreat outside the home, and allowing concealed weapons in public without a permit."

My duty? F U....my duty is to remove the threat from my home...not remove myself.
Who the F comes up with that? They need a good ***********. (Insert your own word please)

Hopefully your state fares better and gets a big ol F!
 
I wonder how they assign the gun death rank. I wonder how many criminals that were shot by legal gun owners protecting their property were in those numbers. Seems these should be separated out to show how many criminal are no longer a threat.

IL is a B+. That grade is for Chicago, not downstate. I'd say downstate is a "D" by their grading. Different laws down here. I can buy as many handguns as I want (not the same day) without any local registration or "permissions". My brother lives in Charlotte, NC and has to get "permission" from the local police chief to buy a handgun. An old Jim Crow law. So much for the south and loose gun laws. Gary
 
Got an A- . My State, MD, is so screwed up! We actually have to get a license to exercise our 2A rights (for a handgun). Cost? Between $104.50-154.50 (depending on whether or not you need to take a course or are exempt) for the license. Then, when you get your license and go to get a handgun, you have to pay another $10 to get the SAME background check you JUST PASSED to get the license. Silly...no STUPID! Oh, and it took 23 days for me to get my license. But I still had to wait 8 days from purchase date of the handgun to go pick it up. Why do we have to wait 8 days? So you can't use the handgun in a crime of passion. Why was I exempt from having to take the course? Because I already owned a handgun! So, if I already have a handgun that COULD be used in a crime of passion, why do I need to wait another 8 days for the new one?

Your problem is you just have too much of a free spirit. You don't appreciate the wisdom of government. You're probably one of those extremists that doesn't believe government is our friend and protector. Please don't don't like my FB page I don't want to be associated with anarchists such as yourself. You act like we live in a constitutional republic or something.

My spirit has been squashed. The government is all wise. I'm not an extremest...I stand in line and moo like everyone else. I am no longer friends with people on FB that aren't like minded as me, they unfriend me when they hear me yelling "All Hail Big Government!" (Actually, this one is almost true...I had a FB-friend 'unfriend' me because we didn't see eye to eye on the leeches in this Country sucking it dry.)

By the way, you don't get your checks from Obama because you actually WORK to make money.

I love watching the show 'COPS'. Nothing will pick your day up more than seeing how bad others have it. Well, the other day, something happened on COPS that made my jaw drop. I had to rewind (dating myself, huh?) and play it over again. My wife came into the room, I played it back for her, too. Here's what happened: A young man was caught in a parking lot for shoplifting. When being questioned by the police regarding his source of income, he said he was a shoplifter (like that is an F-ing profession!). They asked what the money in his pocket was from. He said from a bike he sold that he stole from Walmart. They said, well, that's not your money. He said, and this is what I had to replay over and over, 'Yes it is, I earned it. Yeah, I know I'm not supposed to steal. But that money is mine because I earned it!" :scare3:WHAT?!?!?! This guy REALLY thinks that the money is his because he EARNED IT! How can ANYONE actually believe this? Actually, I know how someone could, it just makes me drink more knowing that the President of the USA is who is preaching it to 'em!
