I'd appreciate feedback on the form of this mill. I'm wondering if a smaller waist might have been better?

The mill is 10 inches total, the top is 2 inches and the base is 8 inches tall. The mechanism is a Crush-grind shaft mechanism. Finish is three coats of Min-wax tung oil.

I like it as is. Wouldn't change a thing.

I think it looks great as is, but I can see the appeal of narrowing the mid section a little too. Great job!

Thank you for your feedback. I guess I wondered if I went smaller in the middle would I loose some curl? Not sure what you mean by square bottom Robert?

I struggle finding with form on spindle work. I have a tendency to make things too straight and not have much variation from big to little. At some point I want to establish pepper mill forms and make a story stick so I can get into production mode.

Thanks again.

I'm with you struggling with curved forms. I will search Google images until I find some I like and try to copy that, I can't just look at a block and see what I want in abstract. Tony
