I have some blanks I should have dated with pencil and now they are covered with Anchorseal and I would like to date them and would like to try a paint marker.

Acrylic or oil based - Does it matter?

Once it's covered with Anchorseal or shellac or something I wouldn't think it'll matter much what you mark it with. Shouldn't penetrate.

I was thinking more of it sticking to a waxy surface
