Look this simple example...many years ago I found in Brazil handsaw with tempered teeth.I hate the idea of sharpening a saw both for the noise (file and teeth contact) and no skils to do it.
American Tool sold many in Brazil using a Jack name made in Denmark.
A had one old and other older. The recent one (1999) broken screws. The blade still almost brand new.
When I checked in detail they are very bad quality.
I found an old saw for US$ 3 and use that screws to fix my saw.
I can believe they prefer put the company name down but the profit up.I am being old ...my mind can't accept this.
Recently Irwin showed a new handsaw in Brazil...made in Denmark and using better screws and wooden handle.I purchased one too.
But plastic handle handsaw still avaible...just for comparsion the wooden handle handsaw cost 60% more in Brazil.
Made by American Tool...in fact just a name at Jack from Denmark
Btroken bad screws.I never touch they for tight
Clean blade at left because teeth protection
Old good quality saw
Screws steel and brass
I cleaned after using Evaporust
Shine brass
