I'm making a wedding gift for some friends who are both natives to NOLA but who now live in Texas. I want something that might remind them of home.
I'm happy to trade with fun/funky wood, odd tools or related woodworking stuff. What interests or needs do you have at the moment?
Thank you all, and stay well.

- Species: Not too picky; something "of" LA, even if it didn't actually come from there. Cypress, Sinker Cypress, Southern Magnolia, and Tulip Poplar come to mind. I could reach for Pecan or Live Oak from local Texas sources and claim we have it in common, but what beauties are you willing to share that were either grown in Louisiana, or are of a species that grows there?
- Finished thickness will be about 5/8", though I can work with as little as 1/2" and thin down stuff thicker than 3/4" if need be.
- Size: 4" wide and about 24" long would be more than plenty. Oddly-shaped is fine as I have some leeway based on the design in mind for the project.
- Example: I could use a 4" x 8" and a 3" x 12" if that were available.
