I set us up a Tweeter account - I don't know why but I did. Actually set it up a month or 3 ago but just remembered. What do I do with it? We have no followers. We aren't following anyone either. I not sure what good it is. The page has a bunch of commercial adverts and suggestions to follow hollywood people etc.

I feel about this like I do facebook - set it up and let someone else run it that knows how to. Any volunteers? You must be an established member and be fluent in the art of tweetery and if you meet those two criteria let me know how to make you an admin of the account if you want to run it for us.
 
I dunno what a tweet is....never mind how to use it?

I have about 2500 followers on twitter and use it to drive site hits, sales and just talk to people. If you use it to just post links or ads no one will bother looking at it or will unfollow quickly. I have been voted in the top 10 hunters there because of content not because of what I take when hunting. It also helped my site get voted in the top 50 and top 35 by other writers.

Twitter is NOT FB and many users will not go to FB no matter what you have there or how many links you post. Me being one of those. You can link the two together but again Twitter folks might not care for seeing the links. It takes time to get people to follow you and the use of hashtags does help. Hashtags also let the online daily papers find your posts and add them to their papers.

Use pics posted through twitpic not instragram or any of the others since Twitter doesn't support them as a thumbnail so you have to leave the site to view them.

It is a good way to stay in touch with folks that aren't on FB and never will be as well as giving like minded folks another place to share what they do.

Yes I am on Twitter now on my puter and my phone. If you need help with it let me know I will be happy to give you some tips.
