I have been playing with dyes for turning pens but am running out of my favorite material to do it on. I have plenty of figured box elder, but would like to find some fully burled pieces again. I have plenty of tools to process blanks, so I don’t need them to come as pen blanks.

Do you need it to be stabilized already? I've probably got 15-20 pen blank-ish sizes, not stabilized. Can post some pictures later this afternoon.

My apologies...
Well, i was reading the forum while wolfing down a sandwich so i could get my wife to a doctor appointment on time. So...i saw the words "Box Elder Burl" (which i don't have) in large print, but digested them as Buckey Burl (which i do have). All i've got in box elder is flamed--and not much. Good thing Mike has some!!

Those look great, I will take them. If you have more I would take ~15 of them.

Hi @Jason Goodrich
If the gorgeous wood @Mike1950 presents doesn't fulfill all of your needs, I have this piece available for your consideration. While it was sold to me as Box Elder "Burl," I can't promise it's actually a burl. There is some interesting figure (see photos), and only a minor amount of flame. In any case, please let me know if you want more photos, measurements, etc.

The shape inside a rectangle: 5.5" square by 9" with the bumpy live edge reducing the volume as noted in the photos. It will fit in a MFRB and have extra room for peanuts to your interest. The last three photos are with water added.

If it's to your liking, I'd prefer a trade for live-edged or other funky goodness rather than cashola.
Thank you, and good luck!

That doesn’t look burly enough for what I am trying to do. Thanks though.

No problem!
If someone else is interested, it remains available.
