Did you go through the same drying process that would normally be done to stabilize, or did you just assume air-dried was good enough to void fill?I have filled voids in Brazilian Rosewood with epoxy + mica powder, no issues.
Here is the one that I sold.

I didn't but i do now. It's fine. Looks like there is still a good amount of meat thereYeah I’d say it’s pretty dry, I’ve had it over a year now. Did you see it does have some checks? I figure I should mention that. Nothing serious though
That’s exactly what the guy that sold it to me said lolI didn't but i do now. It's fine. Looks like there is still a good amount of meat there
You are very organised. That’s more work than I would do. A simple sketch and a name to price list with a bug shipping number at the bottom would be what I would do.
I'm an engineer by profession. I design bridges. This is child's play for me lol. You should see some of my spreadsheets for work. You are very organised. That’s more work than I would do. A simple sketch and a name to price list with a bug shipping number at the bottom would be what I would do.
That d. odorifera has a real big price tag doesn’t it. I suspect it’s worth it though.
I see. Cool job? I get to fix bad decisions by previous managers and scream at the sky in frustration when I have to fire or demote someone because the previous guy thought they deserved it but turned out to be under qualified. Engineering sounds much better. Maths and such are much less variable than people. (In my admittedly limited experience)I'm an engineer by profession. I design bridges. Yeah i love the exactness of math. But theres a lot of bureaucracy in the transportation sector. It can be frustrating and boring. Right now I'm filling out a spreadsheet with data on 2 small bridges that penndot wants to replace. I'm just literally copying data from arcgis to Excel lol. No math, no excitement.I see. Cool job? Do you use AutoCAD to design bridges?Yeah i love the exactness of math. But theres a lot of bureaucracy in the transportation sector. It can be frustrating and boring.
