Ziricote burl

A while back I purchased a large log of ziricote with a burly growth on its side.
Here it is a knife blank size of this burl.
The density of this piece is incredible 1.07 despite of minor defect and sapwood.

Not seeing anything that indicates burl. It has some nice grain for sure. Guess it looked more burl like when it was on the piece you cut it from. Look forward to seeing you transform it into a handle.

Yes agree, it doesn’t look like a burl, just much more dense wood and heavier figure.
The burl wasn’t typical eucalyptus kind.
