Hello folks....I already postei this video from JKM about the blade using 90⁰ for plane difficult grain wood.Lie Nielsen stop to make this blade.

Recently I visited Canada and was in Ottawa and Kingston Lee Valley stores.I found a O1 50⁰ BU blade for my Bevel Up Smoothing plane (I have since 2013).The O1 is 20 bucks less expensive than PM-V11 and easier to hone.I just use a dimond stone and hone the sharp edge to 90⁰ in a very small amount (around 1 mm).

The results are outstanding.

See the pictures below:

Must have been great to visit the Lee Valley store! I sure would like to go there sometime! The fine tuning you do with your tools is continually impressive! Chuck

Impressive. I saw some of these on my last visit to the dictum store in Germany. They had so much stuff. Heck, they had American lathes and Japanese chisels beside each other.

I visited Dictum in Munich back in 2014...very nice store. My first time touching Lie Nielsen tools.
Normaly I visited woodworking stores at cities I am visiting.
Axminster...Rockler...Woodcraft...Highland (Atlanta)...Lee Valley...and this is a very nice too :
Comercial Pazos (Madrid). The owner is so polite guy.

Here a video made from a Brazilian customer ...a lot of tools.I like to buy online but in person it is much better (in my opinion).
