ALL QUESTIONS & COMMENTS REGARDING NEW SOFTWARE GO HERE

Cant think of a thing. The best upgrade in this action is having everyone's first name displayed. I really like that change
Agree. I couldn't remember how to address Kevin until that was restored.

Just wanted to say one thing I really liked about the new site. I love the fact that it saves drafts of posts and messages. I don't know how many times I got a post all typed up and clicked some link accidentally just for it to be gone. Now it just magically shows back up. Also I like the structure of the "Conversations" so much more than the PM's. It is much more organized. Guess that was two...Oh well. So many more things too...

:thanx2:

I'm in agreement Cody. I lost many long tirades accidentally because of that derned non-feature. And I know everyone was always sad when I would lose a 5000 word dissertation on why you can't teach an old dog new birds of a feathers before they hatch. :headscratch:

Any way to leave a member rep points yet? Is that feature something that is going to happen or not an option. I kinda miss the whole rep thing, I liked to reward people for payment, help etc.

If you have posted a request/question/comment and it hasn't been addressed yet, please reiterate it now. Also post any new idea/bug/feature request you have. I'm updating the Bugs, Probs list prior to having a hired gun come in and help us slay some of these issues. Please do not repeat something that has been solved or is already on the linked Bug list.

Has anyone beside me noticed that sometimes the smilies get wonky? Sometimes you can select one but a different shows up when you post. Anyone else?

I have not noticed anything like that. Always seems to be the right smiley that shows up as far as I'm aware of.

I noticed that all the threads were private when not logged in and I couldn't read anything in any forum as a guest. This changed when I logged in. Is this supposed to happen?

Edit: this could be a bug? if so this post is in the wrong forum.

Guest view is now working (you can see and read the forum not logged in) and I believe I have it set where the spammers cannot post.

Thanks Kevin, it gets a little frustrating every time I check the site on my phone. Its a wonky thing.

I think this whole "guests not being able to see the forum" was another sneaky plot to disrupt the 2000 member giveaway! Forcing people to join who may have just looked and left!! It's a conspiracy!! :stirpot:

I noticed that yesterday, it seemed to happen after more smileys where added to our choices, as far as I could tell.

The 'more' smilies weren't added yesterday Greg. I added them around 5 this morning. But for me they have been hinky off and on ever since I added the "old" ones last week or so. But you just noticed it this a.m.?

Noticed it yesterday evening when I was on after work. And now that I think about it again this morning.

Did we lose a bunch of old threads/posts in the conversion, or is "search" just wonky. I noticed a post from MrFish recently mentioning he couldn't find an old thread, and when I went looking for an old thread (yellow corn bread), neither searching nor looking in my profile for my threads revealed anything. In my threads, I saw a couple March threads then it skipped to October. Anyone else noticed similar behavior/omissions?

What section was the Yellow Cornbread in Henry?

I was wondering the same thing. Anytime I try to use the search to find older threads, it doesn't find them. I have manually gone back and found one thread I was looking for that the search did not find. Wasn't sure if the old ones were put in some sort of archives that isn't searchable or if I was just using terrible search terms. :sarcastic:

I think the search function has a limit. I know that if you click "Messages" in someone's member card it will not back to their first one if they're an old member or have a lot of posts (messages). I also hate the whole "conversation/messages" nomenclature but I think we're stuck with it unless we want to pay for some very expensive recoding. I'm looking into that anyway . . .
