Ha, me post maple curl to guess, no way.Feather curl....maple?
Blow up pic. Grain is no way maple. Another wood seller guessed the group by the grain.. but he has a ton of experience.Feather curl....maple?
When I click on the picture, it does not enlarge enough to see any grain. I could see curl and some spalt. What I saw is found in several species, Maple and Mango being more common. If I could see it better, maybe I could present a better reply. I didn't see a scale either, so that might help. Seen grain in Crepe myrtle and California Laurel like that as well.Blow up pic. Better? None of the guesses are right. When I click on the picture, it does not enlarge enough to see any grain. I could see curl and some spalt. We have a winner-KoaWell if it is Koa, that is just sad, being you see koa that curly often. I was figuring it was a native US wood to your area that rarely has figure that heavy, thus the excitement in showing. Either way, will make someone happy.
I had Spanish cedar one time that had curl like that. It made someone very happy. Thanks for the bigger picture, still can't grasps it.
well it was a pretty strong hinti see other koa on his camera roll right beside those pictures. should have been a give away
