Fresh cut Chinese Pistache has a lot of green in it. It quickly changes to brown. What do you use for green that stays green? I know they are out there but not common.

Wow id love to see that!Beech can sometimes (very very rarely) get a green mold. When this happens it stains the wood a startling emerald green. It also needs to be stabilised afterward. I’ll see if I can find some. If not then well.
https://www.pilzmesser.ch/galerie/ these guys make some knife scales from it. It’s not pure green but you can see what I mean in some pieces. They call it grünspanbecherling. I might be wrong about it being beech. At this point there is not much wood left to identify so I don’t feel bad about being wrong.Wow id love to see that!

Update: gruenspanbecherling is actually the name of the fungus. It attacks most hardwoods and leaves Color most prominently in beech and hornbeam. Now that is green! Very cool looking.
How would it be non-existent commercially? It's not a plantation species, is it? Wouldn't growing conditions be the same?Update: gruenspanbecherling is actually the name of the fungus. It attacks most hardwoods and leaves Color most prominently in beech and hornbeam.
It is also basically non existent commercially so I might be looking in some beech forests round here soon.
