Boat building

Wiring complete and tested.

I have one last test to do on my charging system tomorrow and a touch left to do cleaning up and securing the wiring loom, then will cover the wiring with Visqueen and be ready to get rolling on the deck.

You are doing a great job, I wish I had your patience. It looks like you might finish for duck hunting this year.

I'll be a little disappointed if not... but then again I often enjoy the project as much as the outcome, so I'll be equally disappointed when I get it finished. It has been a (mostly) fun learning experience, enhanced by not having hard self-imposed deadlines.

Those are always nice projects. The ones without a hard deadline...

I like the not have hard self-imposed deadlines concept. I employ it all the time. My shelfs are full of stuff that, come to find out, really needed a deadline.

Or at least a conceptual completion date.

I'm pretty self-driven, but I have a ton of projects either in progress, or on the shelves just waiting to happen! Chuck

I harvested the garlic Saturday. I don't use my shop much this time of year so I cleaned off my assembly table and put a fan in the window. My shallots are starting to turn yellow so they can dry here next, by then it will be onion pulling time. IMG_20260727_061610881.webp IMG_20260727_061600721.webp

Did you mean to post in the "What's growing in the garden" thread? This is Boat building by SENC.

The opposite side of that superstition involves bananas.
Yep, won't even eat them while working on it! And I'm a little miffed you even mention them in a boat thread.

My apologies. Positive juju shall be returned once you mount the cannon(s).
I better get to that soon. Today, while applying an epoxy fillet upside down under the rear section (beneath the recently added motorwell deck), a glob dropped down perfectly on and into a nostril. Damn that DLJeff and his bananas!
