I may have said this before but it's worth repeating, I hate epoxy.

Epoxy up the nose was bad enough, but the required subsequent vinegar flush was far worse. Remind me to join in next time DLJeff runs a woodworking challenge - I'm sure he targeted me with bad juju for skipping the current one.
I'm not a vindicative guy, honest. I wouldn't wish an epoxy nasal flush on anyone. Especially a guy with a pirate ship with cannons on it.
Really hate to hear of any chemicals hitting your face! Hope you recovered okay. Recommend mask and eye protection when using stuff like epoxy. Chuck

It was largely a non-event, just the full-on vinegar odor. I was glad I had vinegar, though, an acetone flush would have been far worse.

Final fitting of front-most decking piece - time to check the TM mount, ensure bow nav light wires can be run, and figure out any supports needed to ensure it and the next deck piece back will butt together nicely. Pleased with the TM mounting, got it pretty level. I've now epoxied the washers and nuts for the innermost bolts on the TM mount to the bottom of the deck (or rather to a backer on the bottom of the deck), and need to let that cure well to test and ensure I can simply screw in the bolts from above. Otherwise, I'll need to cut my front flotation into smaller pieces so I can get to the nuts with a wrench, then reinstall flotation through the access hatch.
Henry - is the entire deck screwed and glued - or will you only screw parts so you can access beneath it if needed for maintenance, etc?

The deck will be fully epoxied down - effectively the entire body will be a monocoque, to steal car terminology. Most of boat under the deck will be easily accessible, with exception of the flotation compartments in the nose and stern corners. I do have large screw in hatches to annually check these areas for any signs of water intrusion, etc... and if I really needed to get into them I'd just have to cut up and extricate the foam board. Or, worst case, cut out a piece of decking. That is the beauty of a wood and epoxy/glass boat, though... if I ever have to do that the repair is simple enough.

Yes, it is. Definitely not necessary for my duck hunting application - but I plan to use it for fly fishing (reds, trout) in the salt marsh in the off season, and the ability to hold a spot during tidal shifts will be useful. For duck hunting purposes, the TM will be a back-up "get home" device should I have engine problems.
That's a sweet little boat for sure. YOu may have told us but I've forgotten, what do you plan to power it with? Just the trolling motor? I'm thinking you had a little outboard you were going to run on it.

It should do ok, but it is a semi-displacement hull and not a true planing hull, so gives up some efficiency/speed for stability and seaworthiness.
