as close as i ever came to carving, is some distant relative with the same last name as mine.

his youtube channel should be inspirational to wood carvers

Love his sticks! Even gone as far as buying his,snake scale wood burner tips. Something I've had to put off to retirement!

@daniscool , did you see this yet? He's admitting it. :sofa:

Sorry Tony, I couldn't resist. ...........Nubs
I feel like I’m missing part of the puzzle. It is funny yes but I don’t see why I specifically am supposed to see it. Thanks for getting me on this funny thread though. Honestly this whole thread belongs in the “a joke a day keeps the boredom away” thread.

Aah. That makes sense.
@All Texans
I want you to know that I don’t hate you. I don’t even dislike you. Heck, one of my best friends was born in Texas. Somehow though when I saw someone else (I think it might have been one of the mikes) make the joke in an intro post, it clicked with me and now this is how I spend time on WB!!!

Listening to a non-Texan is obviously the problem!

The recipient of my ornament may not be getting it before Christmas. After a 3 day vacation in Chicago, it is now spending a couple days in the next distribution center. Sure am glad I paid for priority delivery.....

Never seen one of those - that's pretty cool!
It's kind of a double-sided intarsia -- there's an unseen central piece that has the front, back, and side pieces glued to it. This was an experimental design, and I'm glad that it seems to have worked out. Next year I may make this larger and turn it into a gift card holder. . . .
