♫ εηdεd ♫ - Rosewood Pen Blanks for Trade

Can you do one in coco in the style of the one shown here? I really like this one that Alton did.
I can send you the coco to use if you want. I'll just sub one of the blanks of Santos Rosewood
with coco.

I can. I have a plethora of comfort slimlines, however, I don't have that particular center band at the moment. Lemme see what I can spin up either on sunday or monday...

Smells awesome, I love it. It was the first thing I noticed when I opened up the box!
Jerry,

If you can turn a slimline pen like the one Alton did, I'll be glad to trade you wood for it. That old longleaf pine would be super. Send me photos. I now have some virgin growth black walnut pen blanks that would be beautiful. They came from a hand-hewn beam out of a mid-1800s cabin in Tennessee. Here is a photo of the beam.

That is really cool. I have some pen kits coming in from Rockler that are the exact model that Alton did, but won't be here until Monday or Tuesday. I know you are going out of town, so I wanted to let you know that I'll be working on one soon.

Great news Jerry. We don't leave until the 28th so I'll put together a great box of pen blanks for you before I leave. I'll include some of this virgin growth walnut plus some rosewoods and some English walnut crotch wood blanks. You can do the pen any time, even while we are gone.

I like that acrylic pattern and color. I'll be glad to trade you a box of mixed premium blanks for one. The box will contain four different rosewoods, ebony, curly koa
and various crotch blanks from walnut, cherry and some virgin growth woods. How about a trade?

I should have said those weren't acrylic. They were just a sample of what I turn. Those pens were made from Chittum Burl wood.

Sorry, I overlooked that in the description. Do you have any photos of acrylic pens either on this site or any other site that I can see? I'm just not familiar with them.

Thanks

Thanks for the link. I guess I'm just old fashioned and prefer natural wood. Can you turn a pen for me from a wood blank I send you? I've got some super nice rosewoods and some claro walnut I can send. The offer still stands, 20 premium pen blanks for one completed pen. As mentioned before on this thread, I really like the one Alton did with the crazy bubinga so that style of pen would be great. Thanks.

Take your pick...glossy or semi gloss...
