I have a medium sized flat rate box 8 1/2 X 11 X 5 1/2 full of 1 X 2 X 11 cocobolo . Will trade for same box size of other exotic woods .......can be a mixture . Any offers ?
Joe

Me next if you have more than one box. I'm a cocobolo sucker. If you recently came into a box of FBE (:sarcastic:) and don't want anymore I understand.

I just checked the Cocobolo . I have 3 BF ( one medium box ) , but there could be a little more hidden in my wood pile . I am getting rid of the Cocobolo because I became allergic to the stuff .......bad skin reaction ! I can also trade some nice teak or big leaf maple ........combinaion there of . Yes, I did receive yesterday in the mail a large flat rate box of BEAUTIFUL FBE . Wonder who sent that.!!!!!!! Some very kind woodworking man in TEXAS .......named KEVIN.
Thanks a bunch and I will post a picture of that pretty wood.

Mike , Are you still interested in a trade ? Any others ? What wood do you have for trade. Should I take a picture of the cocobolo and post it here ?
Joe

I'd be interested in getting some teak, particuarly if you happen to have a variety of pieces from different logs (better still would be from different trees). I'm just looking for small stuff to take pics of for my site.

You can see what I have at:

Yes, I have some small pieces of teak sapwood , heartwood, etc.

Looks great- What do you want- I have a mountain of walnut-which you probably already know. Quite a variety beyond that.

I would be interested in exotics for trade , even a mixture ......don't need large pieces as long as they are 1 " thick. I use them mostly for segmenting pen blanks.
Joe

I will have to look and see what I have. A lot of my exotics are unknown. Mystery wood 168-70 on Pauls site along with a bunch of others. I will take some pictures tomorrow.

For bangles, clocks, pens I like the contrast of heartwood and sapwood.
I can cut these boards to fit in a large flat rate box. But I have similar coloring in smaller boards. Just have not got around to taking pictures.

Dave,'
I would agree to a trade of my cocobolo for some of your blue mahoe and some other Hawaian wood ( like koa ) in a medium size flate rate box ( $11.35 )
There is a box that is about 12 X 13 X 3 " . I don't have enough cocobolo to fill the large flst rate box. What do you think ?

What other goodies do you have to fill a large flat rate box? Maybe some of Big Cougar's secret "denim pine"?

Sorry to have left you hanging Joe. I forgot all about this thread due to a major hassle with taxes. We can do a medium rate box trade if you are still interested.
