I am still looking to trade redwood burl for bowl gouges , skew, basically most lathe tools .
That's ok , what does it have in it?I have a new basic set I could trade but it does not have any bowl gouges.
Can u send a pic and or list of what's in it , and value of said set. That's ok , what does it have in it?
I'll take em . so most of my redwood burl stock is green but I do have dry curly and OG root that has a nice twist to it , it's about 7" in diameter.I got the set with a lathe that I bought. I already had tools so didn't need them so just tucked them away. Not sure of the value maybe $25.00.

Will do. I'm headed to my wood storage here in a few. I'll post some pics when I get back , no cell service there.Post some pics of what you have.
Wow Lou! Is that the classic 8 PC wood turning high grade quality chisel set with the original packaging? I've only seen those in high grade quality shops but never have I been so lucky as to see one for realz! You can't be giving that amazing collection of Chi-mericana away for a single og burl. Lou, you shouldn't even trade that beautiful collection for 2 redwood burls.I got the set with a lathe that I bought. I already had tools so didn't need them so just tucked them away. Not sure of the value maybe $25.00.

@Anthony it appears that this set is low end so I want to make sure it is a fair trade...let me know if you still are interested because this is a great forum where everyone is very fair and I want to make sure you know what you are getting.[/QUOi figured that much . they r not even labled right on the box. I'll still trade ya a piece of wood for em. What do u prefer curly or burl?
You really did cut the first 6" off your ruler...I've got a few Thompson gouges that have been fairly well used. You'd need to make your own handles for them, but that's part of the fun. Depending on how you sharpen them, they'll give you a good bit of turning before they're used up.
Two 1/2" 10V bowl gouges and one 3/8" Jimmy Clewes 10V gouge.
