I am still looking to trade redwood burl for bowl gouges , skew, basically most lathe tools .

I got the set with a lathe that I bought. I already had tools so didn't need them so just tucked them away. Not sure of the value maybe $25.00.

I'll take em . so most of my redwood burl stock is green but I do have dry curly and OG root that has a nice twist to it , it's about 7" in diameter.

Wow Lou! Is that the classic 8 PC wood turning high grade quality chisel set with the original packaging? I've only seen those in high grade quality shops but never have I been so lucky as to see one for realz! You can't be giving that amazing collection of Chi-mericana away for a single og burl. Lou, you shouldn't even trade that beautiful collection for 2 redwood burls.

If someone doesn't offer you at least 3 museum grade blanks you should put that back inside the safety deposit box inside the safe behind bars in a hidden room guarded by fluffy. No sirie Bob, that there is some mighty fine hardware and a man that got ahold of those tools would instantly become a lathe master and make tons of money...

I'll pm my address, I want that last one, you can have the other 2... shhhhh

@Anthony it appears that this set is low end so I want to make sure it is a fair trade...let me know if you still are interested because this is a great forum where everyone is very fair and I want to make sure you know what you are getting.

I cut a block yesterday. I'll send pics when I get off work. The piece is about 10×10×5

I've got a few Thompson gouges that have been fairly well used. You'd need to make your own handles for them, but that's part of the fun. Depending on how you sharpen them, they'll give you a good bit of turning before they're used up.

Two 1/2" 10V bowl gouges and one 3/8" Jimmy Clewes 10V gouge.
