I've been buy looking for more walnut crotch boards and found these five that are ready to go. Like the others, these have been rubbed with walnut oil to show their finished rich color. Both sides of each piece are shown and the price is on the first photo of each piece. All measurements are shown. There will be one more in the next listing.

Thank you. I like them too. That's why I kept these boards so long, I suppose. I was a walnut crotch freak for many years. Still am, in fact.

If anyone is interested in Walnut Crotch Veneer, I have this flitch of 22 sheets. The sheets measure 24 by 18 tapering down to 11 inches. They are ⅓2 nd inch thick, not the super thin ¼2 you get today. These were cut about 15 years ago and have been kept in a humidity controlled room. They will, of course, need to be flattened before use. I'm asking $100 for this flitch which is about $2 per sq foot. All sheets are in sequential order. Shipping cost will depend on distance.

He's using my new lay-away plan. I hold his boards for ransom until he buys a full LFRGB. :haggle:

But that may come quickly as I have some great Wormy American Chestnut Crotches coming up. These are very rare, in fact, the only ones I've ever seen. The guys hewing the ancient logs didn't want to fool with limb crotches so they were left to rot. If the farmer had access to a water-powered saw mill, the crotches were occasionally cut but even then they didn't like them because of the handwork of cutting the mortises and tenons in the beams. And the crotches were always at the end of the beams that had to be worked by hand. More later.

Put me first inline on the Chestnut crotches please. Would love a slab or 2 that I could cut some pot calls.

Will do. They are 4/4 boards so the pot calls would work. I'll start a thread on them and mention you have first call on the crotch. The boards are 11" wide, very flat and wormy, but not too many worms. You can get a lot of pot calls per foot of board.
