It has total control over the content that feeds into your page. So it can subtly influence you in any direction. If you're not aware of this then it's working already.

FB does not report news, not does it feed you what you choose. It feeds you what THEY want you to read.

I just get fed up with all the folks that are so wrapped up in it, and it commands so much of their life, that they have to report every time they take a damn dump on Facebook. My sister, 56 years old, just recently got married again, never sent out an invitation. She posted it on Facebook, thinking everyone in the world goes there. I didn't know she was getting married until the day before the wedding, by which time I already had other plans made. So sorry bout her luck, but I wasn't there.

Younger sister is the same way... posts everything on Facebook. Drives her old man crazy!

My kids don't know how to pick up the phone and text, or e-mail, everything they do is wrapped up in Facebook.

For the record, I do have a Facebook account. I feed it pretty much nothing but controversial leads, Pro-Gun, Pro-Confederate Flag, Anti-Obama, Anti-Hillary, etc. etc. Just because I know it annoys the folks at Facebook.
 
As far as face book feeding you what they want- Yikes.... What about the news- 95% of News companies-owned by 5 entities. Couldn't be any bias in input there. Google- nah they wouldn't do that....:lol2: Microsoft.. Bill gates... Hell no way....:coffeenews: Tis the world we live in....

It's just a shame there aren't more people capable of understanding that media bias thingy. Entirely too many of them believe every line of B_S_ those 5 entities throw at them.

And so many followers believe in the b_s_ opinions that conspiracy advocates are always spewing .. I find it hard to believe anything .. I look at my drivers license every morning to make sure I have the same name I had yesterday ...

I'm one of those that doesn't care what the next person thinks ...
They can or can not believe in the news biased or not ... The Internet ... Tracking your movements or not ... Facebook as social entertainment .. Or work related ... Or some kind of sinister online monster that's going to come to your house and eat you and family raw ... The belief or not of Easter bunny ... Santa clause .. Or ever God ... Believe or not the patriotic symbol the American flag stands for ..

But I do believe only I can form my on opinion about life as I live it and don't like when folks are constantly trying to change my mind about what I do believe in ...

Guess it's because of all the Texan in me ...

Well we're solving many of the worlds problems and that's good, and yet my FB account is still not working properly for me. :sarcastic:

I figured since you'd seen such horsing around you'd know I was doing that some more out of my continued frustration with getting FB to work. I don't have most of the functions and features on my page I'm supposed to. Sorry you were offended it was not my intent.

I didn't even know we had to "update" our pages. I figured they'd update their software site-wide! This is news to me how do I do it?

If you're on your phone go to apps, hit search for updates. Tony

I never go to FB on my phone I just wait until I'm on my computer. Do I have to update my page on a PC?

I think so but I'm not sure how. Maybe shut down and restart it?
