This small bowl, just under 5 inches in diameter, comes from wood labeled as fern given to me in Hawaii. I cannot find any information about a tree called fern. It is turned end grain.
Fern—anyone know more about this wood?

Hahah. Blew the rim! Easy to turn and sand. Got too thin with a new tool about an inch in and whoops!
