My stainless grill set is on its way out, with the spatula handle about to fall off and spot rust forming in crevasses. I would love to get a new set and make the handles from wood. I would prefer a full tang design, but I would consider an option that involved turning the handles with mechanical or epoxy anchored shaft. My biggest concern is that the steel is high quality and stainless. At a minimum I need a spatula and tongs, but a kit with a fork and/or basting brush would be fine too.
Can anyone recommend a good prefab kit for such a project? Or does anyone know of any metalworkers who make these utensils?
