I voted for it, and I agree with the idea that it has to be stringently managed to avoid labeling someone unfairly. I've got another nomination for the turd list, but I'll wait until this other deal shakes out first.

I think we do an excellent job of policing ourselves. I remember a few months ago when a new member joined and he was quickly weeded out. This was the guy that nobody could compete with. If you had a .50 caliber gun, he had a .51 caliber. Your chainsaw had a 36 inch bar, his had a 42. He tried to one up everything everybody said. We called him on it and when we pressed for pictures (never saw a pic) he bugged out. He was a huge bull sh***er. We smelled that rat. Several of you guys will know who I am referring to.

These kind of members are not what the HOS would be about.

I agree with the hall of shame idea after a complete investigation by the admins/mods. That surely will put a lot of work on you guys.

No it wouldn't in the big scheme of things. We have 2100+ members here and 330,000+ posts. And we are just now talking about making a HOS for our first inductee, asnd Doc has a possible nominee which would be extensively juried. Not a bad track record is it.

Mike, thanks for keeping us level-headed. You're right, it should not be targeted or about revenge. Just don't put El Guapo up there!

I am just now trying to read all these posts and I am responding to them as I get to them so bear with the chronological mis-order my replies may come in but, whoever first used the word "revenge" needs a paddling. That was not only unfortunate but very irresponsible. Does anyone actually think any of our staff would operate that way or allow another member to get away with that?

I did not vote either way because I would choose a more middle of the road approach where a complaint of any kind would get a member put on probation where the "accused" member has restricted access until the issue is resolved. If the accused becomes convicted there should be a public banned list with a reason attached to their name as to why. The reasons should probably be simple and short like "unfulfilled obligations" or "repeated rule violations" or the famous "other" as a reason.

Living in a free society means having the patience and tolerance nessesary to forgive and forget. that said If a person is intentionally messin with the welfare of a given group the group has a moral obligation to deal with the issue and not avoid it. My only concern is that somebody is going to get them a lawyer and sue because WB caused them mental injury and ruined their reputation. It's the society we live in. Trying to make an easy buck. Just my 1/2 cent.

Let 'em come. I actually planned for and have that covered quite well. Won't cost me nearly as much as someone trying to sue. It sure as hell wouldn't an "easy" buck.

I definitely wasn't suggesting revenge or anything of that nature whatsoever. Kevin, you mentioned possibly naming the forum after him and I thought it was funny, so I made a post saying that it would be a shame not to. I certainly did not mean to suggest revenge or anything on that plane. I don't think anyone is advocating any negative action taken against an individual other than informing/warning others of their nefarious behavior. Guapo does not condone revenge. Guapo is a lover.

kevin look at whose post I quoted- my statement was not pointed at you it was pointed to whom I quoted. If revenge was the wrong word then sorry- nothing to get upset.
