My over-achieving attempt to highlight the one I’m interested in didn’t post for some reason, so here’s another crack at it. It’s from your 2nd posted picture of Stanleys on a Shelf.

Are the handles wood? Looks like a type 19 or 20. If the depth adjuster is brass then it might be even older. (I have an ID problem) I can't seem to let anything be left unidentified.

Is this a 5 1/2 by any chance? Regardless, If it goes up for sale I would like to put my hat in the ring for it…

I'm still in the mix here for one I can use on my shooting board. People are recommending the #5 but Mike said he might have some other options so I was waiting to see what else he finds.
3 5s. A Shelton. And 2 Baileys. I think corrugated is in center. Baileys say 5 Shelton number 14. If you put next to each other main casting is same.

Very nice Mike. How do you make small adjustments to the blade position? I don't see a knob, only the lever thing. I guess I can figure it out.

What'll you take for the Bailey's?

These are pretty normal for this style of plane. You loosen and adjust and adjust blade. I am sure there are 100s of methods. The one Bailey, I think center is original price. All are same.

But there are knobs under the blade on the backside of the frog, right? Pretty sure all Bailey-style planes in these sizes have the same mechanisms.

But I assume so. None of these are special. Worker planes.

But I am not buy any means a plane guy. Most of these came with other stuff.
My users are block-rabbet block and shoulder planes. A chisel plane. Stuff that works with MT joints.

So if I'm reading the previous posts correctly, you had the #5's for $50. I'll take that Bailey if that's okay. I'm leaving Wednesday to go fishing and will be back Feb 1. I can do a Paypal tomorrow otherwise we can settle up after I get back. PM sent with my address.

Besides, it looks like it was previously owned by Capt Kidd or Billy the Kid.

@Mike1950 No. 7 received a few days ago. After brief weather-related delay, it showed up nicely packed in a ply wood box, wrapped in cardboard. The box itself was a work of art worthy of being featured prominently on its own!
I have reassembled it, and I look forward to putting it to use before long.
Thanks again for making it available! I hope the others all find good homes, too.

Mike - back from fishing and sent you a Paypal just now for the Bailey #5.
