I will picture again tomorrowI'm interested Mike. What's the size range? Just ballpark.
Size?@Mike1950 and @Eric Rorabaugh
If you encounter any more LV along your journeys, I'd certainly be interested.
Thanks!

I have a 6" wide by 3/4ths thick piece of sapwood riddled with torpedo borer damages.@Eric Rorabaugh An excellent and very fair question!
I'm not looking for a particular size or for any specific project. I seek interesting pieces of wood (LV among them!), and then find a project that features their best qualities. I recently encountered a beautiful GREEN green specimen of LV, and it got my wheels turning.
Some of my best art pieces have come from random, "unique" pieces of wood that I was not expecting.
Thanks!
Nah you are good. I have zero problem. Have a couple small short solid logs@Mr. Peet
I'd be happy to see a photo of it. Is it sapwood ONLY, or is it a mix of sap and heartwood?
(And, perhaps we should take this to a new thread out of respect for the others who started it...)
@Mike1950 I’d happily take a look at the logs if you encounter them on your journeys. Thanks!Nah you are good. I have zero problem. Have a couple small short solid logs
That's funny! So, assuming there are actually 4 pieces there, are they all ~3x4x7"? And, what do you think about value? Here are two pieces for now. The way they're split, I could say four pieces
