Looking for Texas Ebony

Hi Jerry, I would love to buy some of your Texas Ebony. I am just getting started in knife making after making hand sewn watch straps for the last fifteen years or so. The postage cost from the U.S. to the U.K. is super expensive, but I have found that I can have a parcel picked up in the U.S. and delivered door to door without it costing a fortune. If you could put a parcel together for me, that would be great and if you could add some pieces of other woods that I cannot get over here that would be fantastic. I would need to know the approximate weight and dimensions in advance, around 8 pounds would be ideal. I realise that any T.E. would be as log/logs but any banks are best at 1 x 11/4 x 5 inches.

Don't need to be 100% crack fr ee. Just as long not down center. Further away from center the better. I just want one set for a knife I'm making my dad that is as crack free as I can get.

@Byron Barker , sounds like a plan. You won't pay anything until I actually reach Denver. I will want 50 dollars for this piece of wood. If you need it cut, I believe it would be best if you did it because you know what you want.

Yesterday, I cut up about 120 pounds plus one brand new 16' Stanley tape measure trying to get good clean crack free ebony for @Mike Hill. I'm stating now that it's almost impossible to get crack free clear heartwood from Texas Ebony. I'm pretty close to calling it quits on cutting this crap with requests for crack free heartwood. But, I will go ahead and try to fill Mike's request.

If someone wants a piece of TE that will fit into any size box, I will gladly cut one or two pieces to fit. That will include any bark that might stay on, and all the sapwood. ............. Jerry (in Tucson)
I completely understand about the checking and don't sweat it. I'll probably just resin cast it if it is too extreme. Thanks for doing this for me. Let me know when you'd like me to pay you and how and I'll get the money right over to you. BIG THANKS! Byron
