Need more blues on this site

Hit hard with that one. Dad played keys, this was one of them, sure miss him.
I'm sure it would warm his heart to know that you listened in and appreciated the good memories of him doing what he loved to do.

I think of Dad often. Everyday. We weren't close most years but I always knew that he would be there if I needed him to be. It still seems strange not to have him there.

It's time to add a little bit of life to this thread! Feel free to move a little bit, tap your feet, or clap your hands. :yipee:

Turn up the volume. Grab a beverage. :good2:

And one more for the night, a classic blues tune from one of the early adopters of the slide. It never gets old to me.

I also listen to his cousin Homesick James who taught Elmore the slide guitar.

Homesick is a new one to me. I'll have to look him up.

Here's one to slow things down a bit while maintaining a good rhythm.

Mid-70's B.B. King. At the top of his game. Gotta love it. Perhaps some of his finest work.

Buddy is on his farewell tour now. An icon.

I’ve been listening recently to Jimmy Rogers and Johnny Shines, good stuff.

I wished I had availed myself of some of the Memphis Blues scene when I was doing the project there. I can get into that!
