I was out on the porch and see there is no place to sit anymore, other than the floor. Got boxes of veneer and hundreds of sample blanks of dozens of species. Many of these blanks are too small for wood samples (without laminating) but would be great for pens. Let me know what you would like posted, and I will try to get pictures up:
Tetradium daniellii (Korean Bee-bee tree), Syringa vulgaris (common purple lilac), Juglans ailantifolia (Japanese walnut), Ilex verticellata (Winterberry holly), Cercidiphyllum japonicum (Katswora tree), Chamaecyparis obtusa (Hinoki cypress), Acer tataricum subsp. ginnala (Amur maple), Koelreuteria paniculata (Golden rain-tree), Magnolia tripetala (umbrella magnolia), Betula nigra, (spalted river birch), Populus deltoides (Eastern cottonwood), Salix eriocephala / ridiga (heart-leaf willow), Juniperus x pfitzeriana (Pfitzer juniper (Sabina&Chinensis))
So the woods above are found in the first 5 feet. Another 19 feet to go....
