There sure was a lot of nice stuff changing hands there today. Also got me a nice thick mesquite slab from David @David Hill

Thank you @David Hill! The mesquite slab I bought from you was great, I was able to cut three beautiful blanks out of it. I don't know what you mean by it being a little punky, other than pissing off some grubs the wood looks great. I am getting about 25% - 36% moisture rating on the blanks. If I turn them at this level, how much does mesquite warp? Another plus of mesquite, when resawing it, my garage smells like BBQ.

I've never turned mesquite and don't turn bowls but from the looks of those blanks I may have to round up a few small pieces for some calls. They look nice. Is there much sap in mesquite?
