We're supposed to be in the zone to see the aurora borealis again. Checked the last two nights and nothing.

Was at a friends house tonight gathering up some pretty big, and thick, soft Maple boards. 2-4” thick and up to 20” wide. Anyway, he has a home surrounded on 3-sides by cornfields.

This was my back yard yesterday afternoon. I live in a rain forest so we do not get many afternoons like this. Today may be the same, we will see. Aloha.

Lots of haze gives the sun an otherworldly look tonight.
That's what our sunrises have looked like the last 3 days. Really smokey right now.
Traveling back to IL from nieces wedding in Hilton Head and stopped in Asheville for a couple days. Beautiful view from our hotel room looking at the Blue Ridge mountains.

Supposed to be a lunar eclipse, or partial eclipse tonight into tomorrow. Combined with it being a super moon, supposed to be a nice view.
Stayed up, had great view. Was just a small corner, but at least we had clear skies. My cell phone pics don't show it well at all--so not going through the effort to post. Hoping somebody got some nice shots. Great night to be outside though!!
We were clouded over during the time the eclipse was supposed to happen so no view here. It's hard to get interesting photos of it.
