I'm glad you think so, to me it is not my best work. I would have like to have spent more time on the finnish, but Lee insisted that he was going to beat the crap out of them and a rougher surface would be fine. I just didnt have the time to finish them the way i would have liked to.Those look awesome! You got skills sir!
I've got a friend like you, no matter how nice a piece looks he's not happy with it...I'm glad you think so, to me it is not my best work. At the rate it took me to do the last 2 I might get them done before I retire.I think I'm going to have Greg make me 6 more in different sizes!!!

Oh I might have an idea. How in the heck did you do that?

I was stupid. Had the tool on the very end of the rest, got a catch. Not a 1", it's a 5/8".
I broke a 14" long tool rest with 1" shaft many years ago. That learned me to not do heavy roughing cuts on the end of the tool rest
How long is that rest?

I managed to break a 6" rest that way. About needed to change my shorts when that happened!
@Tony - I checked. It's not 12", but is 10". It's yours if you want it, though I wouldn't blame you either if you passed and sought out something better constructed. This is the one that came with my Jet 1221VS. I've never used it and don't plan to as I really like these ones from Rockler. They're better constructed, stronger, and stand up better.
