There was much rejoicing in the driveway today, along with using up a bunch of brain cells. Sawdust was made. Cut dadoes in the shelf to fit in the legs. Then worked on the apron, figured out where the dadoes had to be and how deep to ensure I got square tight miters in the corners. My first cuts for the apron were too long so trimmed them off using the miter saw. Found out the miter saw cuts way better miters than my table saw using the sled I made. I think my table saw has a tiny bit of wobble in the blade because the dadoes I cut with the Fruend dado set I have were still looser than I want. But there tight enough I won't go back and re-do them. Then, had to enlist my wife for an extra set of hands to apply the strap clamp to see how it all fit. Pretty happy with it, so ready to go to the next steps. I want to round over all the sharp edges on the legs, shelf, top and apron. I will be making a small drawer that will ride on stringers in the apron so I need to figure out how and where all those pieces will go and then make the drawer (if only I had some spalted mango to make the drawer front). I made the shelf high enough above the floor so the vacuum fits easily underneath but it might be a tad too high, if so I can trim the legs off a little. Easier to make them shorter than longer. Next few days are colder with chance of rain so this will have to hold me for awhile.
