What did you do in your shop today?

Filled up 40 of these 4 oz canisters with my proprietary food-safe restorer that I give with every food bowl or cutting board.
( secret recipe: 16 oz of mineral oil, 2 oz of pure beeswax, and 1 oz of pure carnauba wax.)

The two big jars... one is that my wife keeps in the kitchen. The other I keep in the shop.

Four hawkbill ice cream scoops. Spalted maple from @Jonkou, walnut from the backyard. These are for a charity auction. Finish is Aussie Oil friction polish with REN wax.

Awesome scoops! All that's needed now is some Blue Bell, some black raspberry chocolate chip (should be called chunk) Graeters, or some Milk Chocolate Talenti!

While I don’t agree with their politics, do like Ben andJerry’s ice cream best. And the best of Ben and Jerry’s is Cherry Garcia.

B & J doesn’t skim on the ingredients! Cherry Garcia is also my fave going way back since the mid 1990’s- it started not even in NYC, but when I lived in Charleston, SC as they had a shop by “The Market” in downtown. Don’t know if you remember or had one of their insane shareable offerings- “The Vermonster” which had 20 scoops, bananas, fudge, cookies, nuts, etc. Closed second would be “Chunky Monkey”.

Though there is one ice cream brand that is also my fave is “Van Leeuwen”, which was born in Brooklyn, French style ice cream- it is very smooth, refined, rich but not overwhelming and it goes down light. If I had to compare Ben & Jerry’s and Van Leeuwen, it is the the consistency and density difference between hard NY cheesecake and smooth ricotta Italian cheesecake. My favorite Van Leeuwen ice cream flavor is “Sicilian Pistachio”.

Lots of regionally great ice cream brands, but my favorite is Babcock Hall Ice Cream. It is located about 100 ft away from where my office was when I was at the University of Wisconsin -Madison. Award winning ice creams and cheeses, and run by staff and students in the College of Agriculture.

Peachy Paterno, but that was before politics came with each sale.

Lived in Vermont for 3 years back in the late 80’s. If it wasn’t leaf peeping season there wasn’t much to do when we had visitors. The Ben and Jerry’s factory tour in Waterbury was always a stop. The factory was small, the tour short but the samples free. And yeah, Chunky Monkey is right up there.

Speaking of smaller - then Jeni's, and their Ooey Gooey Butter Cake - just divine!

or Kilwin's New Orleans Praline Pecan - that's hard to say without drooling. They use the pralines they make and sell, which BTW - Lil Mikey is in love with as they are very much like how his mama made!

My fav right now is Blue Bell Pistachio Almond. Chuck
Haven't seen that yet. But recently we started seeing Dr. Pepper Float and tried it - pretty good and one of the peaches - I think Peachy Peach, but was a little disappointed with it. Still wanting to try Blackberry Cobbler, but have never seen it for sell here. Also have not seen the praline one in quite a while. As none of us needs to be eating Ice Cream, we will buy the pints, and when I say we don't see it for sale, sometimes it is because we have not seen the pint.

Tried the Dr Pepper, also, and love it! Concur with you on Peachy Peach. Blackberry Cobbler is really good, but a bit sweet and overpowering if you eat a big bowl! Chuck
