Was processing/cleaning up a few pieces of somewhat inconspicuous wood we had “laying around”.
Could see this piece had some nice figure, but had no idea how nice until I sliced it open along a crack line in the board.
Not sure if it’s a rosewood yet. Seems to have the weight, but didn’t smell too sweet (very faint smell) when fresh cut.
Really needs to go to someone who can cut it nice and straight and thin to make some book-matched sets. Wetted the pic.
