What did you do in your shop today?

In final stretches for what is likely to be my most ambitious banksia pod peppermill. Sorry, no pics yet. I suspect final height about 15-16 inches, and used much harder wood for top and bottom. I’ll dig out a pic of one I did in past year or so.

Can't wait to see another one of your Banksia creations!

Started a little project for my church. I was asked to build a slat wall in 3 sections. So I started it today.
I pulled a bunch of maple off the wood rack.

I had a bunch of 4' shorts that are live edge. I marked them with a straight edge to rip the live edge off one side on the band saw. This is all stuff that I chainsaw milled years ago.

This project is a good way to use up these warped and cupped shortss. I only need boards 2.5" wide.

Live edge ripped off and jointed on 2 sides. Tomorrow ill run them all through the planer. Shooting for 3/4" but they can be a little thinner if need be.

Felt good to be in the shop again. I was going to start on my workbench again but then I got asked to do this. After I get this done the plan is to get back on the workbench.
